While plenty shared news and videos about his race, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju invited Gowda to attend the SAI trials on Monday at Bengaluru.

Now, Gowda said that he is not interested in taking up the race as he wants to stay with Kambala and makes the sport famous.

He also added that those who have done in track event cannot do well in Kambala and is vice versa.

He explained that the Kambala race is run with the help of heels whereas the track event would make use of toes.

He concluded by saying that the buffalo owners take good care of the racers and he aims to achieve more in the sport rather than going on with the trails.

The 29-year-old has been practising the sports since he was 15 and has achieved well here.
