Used to come to Chepauk just to see Dhoni batting’ – Varun Chakravarthy

Kolkata Knight Riders pulled off a win against Chennai Super Kings from nowhere. Everything began when Sunil Narine dismissed Shane Watson and soon, MS Dhoni got out to Varun Chakravarthy.

After the match, Varun Chakravarthy spoke about the experience of picking up MS Dhoni’s wicket.

He said, “Yeah, yeah, because three years back, I used to come to the Chepauk stands and sit with the crowd, and I used to just come to see MS Dhoni batting. Now, I bowled against him; it was a surreal moment for me. After the match, I took a picture with Dhoni sir.”

Varun Chakravarthy played in one match in IPL 2019 where he bowled three overs and went for 35 runs. However, after being picked up by KKR, Varun is going through the purple patch.
