World Cup, 3rd T20I: Confident Sri Lanka looks for winning start

Just a week ago, Sri Lanka had a jaw-dropping match against former champions England where they defeated the team by ten wickets, thanks to Chamari Athapaththu.

Coming into this contest, Sri Lanka will be going in with a positive attitude and why not, they might go ahead and destroy the White Ferns as well.

Having said that, the form of the players are different here. Sophie Devine has been in a tremendous form and ever dependent Suzie Bates has come good at the right time as well.

In the bowling department, especially, Lea Tahuhu and Devine can do wonders on their day.

What will be interesting to see is how New Zealand plans to get rid of Aththapaththu and how Sri Lanka can manage to pull off the match without her.

For Sri Lanka though, the problem begins when the middle order is exposed and the bowlers are having trouble to adjust in previous matches as well.

Let’s sit back and enjoy, we might have a thriller here.
