COVID19: Kurnool pays adieu to 2 Rs doctor Ismail

It was a normal night until Doctor Ismail felt breathless the next morning. He was admitted in Kurnool Government General Hospital.

He was there for two days and breathed his last on April 14th, a day before his tests came which was positive for coronavirus.

Ismail, 76, is famous for not only his treatment but also for the way he charged. He would treat the people, sometimes for free and he never cared for money. People would pay him with whatever they had.

Even at this age, he continued seeing patients with smile. While he didn’t get in contact with any of the patients directly, he might have affected because he was working in the red zone.

Soon after his test came positive, the hospital was sealed. Six members from his family also tested positive and are currently in quarantine.

His funeral took place a few days ago, with only five people.
