ENG v WI, 2nd Test: Sibley and Stokes put hosts on top

England ended the day one at a dominating position, 207 for 3, thanks to Sibley and Stokes.

England recovered from being reduced to 29-2 by off-spinner Roston Chase who removed Rory Burns and Zak Crawley with successive balls. Sibley and Stokes added an unbeaten 126 led the recovery.

Sibley made 83* and Stokes made unbeaten 59.

Root was the other wicket to fall. The captain who made his return after missing out the first Test got out to Joseph for 23.

Even before the match there was drama as Jofra Archer was dropped from the match after he broke the bio-secure protocol.

England was pushed to make further changes to the playing XI. Broad, Woakes, Curran came back to the Eleven after missing the first Test.

Coming back to the match, Sibley certainly is the player of the day for beautifully building the innings alongside Stokes.
