India is all set to wear an orange-dominated jersey in their away matches in the World Cup. ICC is introducing new home and away kits where a few teams will sport different home and away jersey.
Since England, Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan all sport blue colour jersey, the teams will wear a new “away” jersey when they take on England. India will wear a new-look orange jersey for the match against England. Virat Kohli & Co is set to wear that again in the match against Afghanistan. Whereas, India will wear their “home” jersey in the match against Sri Lanka, as they are listed as the home team here.
India’s jersey is yet to be released and will see the players wear a darker blue in the front, whereas orange will dominate the sleeves as well as the back.
As England is the host, they will wear their newly-launched kit, which is similar to the 1992 World Cup. Whereas, the other teams will sport their “Away” jersey.
South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh all have green as their colour. They will also have alternatives in place. Pakistan will continue to wear their traditional colour against South Africa and Bangladesh as they are listed as the home team whereas, South Africa and Bangladesh will wear an alternative one, which is of yellow colour.
Since Australia, New Zealand and West Indies sport different colours, they have the luxury of wearing their traditional colours right through the World Cup.
ICC are yet to make any official announcement on the same.
