IND vs AUS- Rohit Sharma passes fitness test

Indian opener Rohit Sharma has declared fit by the officials in the NCA camp.

Rohit picked up a hamstring injury while playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.

BCCI was under the scanner for not providing proper details, lack of clarity, when it came to Rohit’s fitness. The Indian opener injured his hamstring during the IPL and was left out of the squad that toured to Australia but Rohit went on to play the latter part of the IPL games. This confused everyone, including the skipper Kohli.

Soon, BCCI went on to release a statement saying that Rohit wasn’t fully fit and underwent rehab in the NCA later than expected as he had to travel back home to be with his father who had health issues.

Now, Rohit has cleared the test and is likely to fly to Australia to play in the Test series.

Rohit’s inclusion will be a big boost for the visitors who will miss their skipper Kohli in the latter part of the Test series. Kohli will fly home to be with his wife during the birth of their first child.
