A total of 103 people had tested positive recently after attending a party in an apartment complex at Bommanahalli in Bengaluru.
According to The Indian Express, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad confirmed that they have tested more than 1000 people of the apartment and 103 people had tested positive. One person has been taken to the hospital while the rest are under quarantine.
The official added that there was a party at the apartment where most of the residents participated.
Among the 103 COVID19 positive cases, 96 people are aged above 65, he added. The residents came to know about the cases when a few residents got themselves tested before their trip to Dehradun.
He also said that the samples were immediately sent to National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences(NIMHANS) to find the variant of the virus.
