Australian pacer Delissa Kimmince has called it a day. She has decided to make her short break from cricket permanent and has retired from the game.

Kimmince made her international debut when she was 19. Within a year, she had decided to quit the sport and went on to work in a pub. She then came back as an opening batter and helped Queensland Fire to the Women’s Twenty20 domestic championship in 2013-14 and also won the Most Valuable Player award in that season.

Later, she went on to make her way into the Australian side in 2014, went on to win the World Cup on three occasions. She then went on to make her AFL debut as well.

Recently, she took a short break from the game, right after the WBBL. Now, the 31-year-old has called it a day from cricket. Kimmince has represented Australia in 60-odd matches.

Now that she has retired, Darcie Brown has been added to the Central Contract list. She is the only change from the last summer’s list. The 18-year-old recently made her ODI debut against New Zealand in the Rose Bowl Series.
