Adam Milne to miss IPL

To add more worries to the Mumbai Squad, the New Zealand Pacer Adam Milne likely miss the IPL.

The Kiwi Pacer suffered a swollen heel and is likely to sit out for the entire tournament. Mumbai Indians who already will miss Malinga for the initial games, this comes as a big blow. However, they are yet to release an official statement regarding this.

The franchise bought Milne for 75 Lakhs and they cannot sign a player with a higher base price than this. Looks like the team is very close in signing the young Windies bowler Alzarri Joseph as a replacement.

Mumbai now has only three overseas pacers in their squad – New Zealand’s Mitchell McClenaghan and the Australian pair of Jason Behrendorff and Ben Cutting. They would now hope that these three will come good in the absence of Malinga and Milne. Mumbai plays their season-opener against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
