IND B vs IND C: Pooja, Kalpana takes India B home!

In what you call the rehearsal for tomorrow’s final, India B locked-horns with India C once again after defeating the latter in the low-scoring encounter in the first match.

Veda Krishnamurty opted to bat first and opted to give the youngsters an opportunity by batting at number eight. India C, however, had a great start, thanks to Shafali Varma’s power-hitting, who scored 46 off 31.

The youngsters couldn’t capitalize on the start given by Shafali as they managed to score only 148, where they should have at least scored 160.

Smriti and Vanitha had quick cameos at the top which was followed by Richa Ghosh’s 36. The real match-winner is the partnership of Kalpana and Vastrakar who managed to take the team close to the winning total.

India C, however, was not only sloppy in the field, but they also missed out two run-out chance as well, giving India B easy victory.

India B will take on India C once again for the final on Friday. Well, I cannot imagine how tired would be India C players to play three matches in a row. Such poor scheduling.
