After the rain-hit first T20I, India and Sri Lanka locked horns at Indore on Tuesday.
After batting first, Sri Lanka couldn’t convert the good start they had and Indian bowlers bounced back to restrict the visitors to 142.
Navdeep Saini, who was awarded the man of the match was certainly the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 18 runs. Also, Thakur picked up three wickets in same over and ended up with 3 for 23.
Chasing the modest total, India had a great start, thanks to Rahul and Dhawan. Rahul top-scored with 45. Dhawan, Iyer and Kohli had 30-odd runs each.
India now go 1-0 in the series and is a great start to the New Year.
