Alex Hales takes break from cricket

England and Notts opener Alex Hales takes break from cricket for ‘personal reasons’.

Hales, who is in the preliminary 15-member squad of England has been one of the vital forces (despite being a backup opener) for England’s consistency in past few years.

The -30-year-old who has signed white ball contract with Nottinghamshire made himself unavailable now.

Nottinghamshire released a statement saying: “Alex Hales has made himself unavailable for selection for personal reasons and no timetable has been set for his return to action.

The England squad will have a meeting on May 30 for the World Cup and it is unsure whether Hales will be available for the same.
