Australia announce their squad for Ashes

Australia has announced the 14-member squad for Ashes and there are a few hits and misses.

The most unfortunate miss is Sophie Molineux who was in a great form in the WBBL, but picked up a shoulder injury and hasn’t recovered yet.

The 20-year-old pacer Tayla Vlaeminck who recovered from the ACL tear at the right time after missing out the WBBL made it to her first Ashes after impressing the selectors and the teammates with her pace.

Nicole Bolton who missed out the ODI series against the White Ferns due to personal reasons is back into the team as well.

The selectors have gone in with the same squad for all the three formats.

Squad: Nicole Bolton, Nicola Carey, Ashleigh Gardner, Rachael Haynes, Alyssa Healy, Jess Jonassen, Delissa Kimmince, Meg Lanning, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Elyse Villani, Georgia Wareham, Tayla Vlaeminck
