Breaking: Women’s ODI World Cup postponed to 2022

The Women’s ODI World Cup which was supposed to take place in 2021 has been postponed.

The World Cup was supposed to begin by February 6th and would end by March 7th. However, the World Cup has been postponed to the next year due to Coronavirus pandemic.

2022 will be a huge year for Women’s cricket with T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Commonwealth games. However, the tournament might be postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.

All these decisions were taken by ICC Business corporation, the business wing of ICC.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was also present at the virtual meet that happened today.

Pushing the World Cup to 2022 means, we might see the retirement of a few legendary players.
