Confirmed: IPL finals to take place on November 10

IPL suspended until further notice due to Corona outbreak

The BCCI in all important governing meeting regarding the Indian Premier League has decided to go ahead with the 13th edition as planned.

The Council also got the necessary permission from the sports ministry.

The tournament which will take place in the UAE will see an early 30 minutes start and will go ahead at 7.30 PM. The final of the tournament will happen on November 10th, a first final to take place on weekday. There will be ten double-headers planned as well.

Talking to IANS, a BCCI official said: “We have decided to go up till November 10 and so the final will be held on a weekday for the first time. Also, to ensure that there are enough gaps between games considering the travelling and the bio secure environment and keeping all these things in mind, we will have 10 double headers this season”.

Talking about the crowd capacity, the official said that it will be decided later after consulting with the officials of the UAE and he also added that they cannot risk lives during the coronavirus pandemic time.

“The BCCI has received clearance from the Sports Ministry and we are hopeful of a positive response from the other departments quite soon as well,” a BCCI official had told IANS on Saturday.
