Karnataka: BS Yediyurappa tested Covid19 Positive, hospitalised

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday night took to social media to announce that he has been tested positive for COVID19.

He also added that he is doing well but is currently hospitalized as a precautionary measure.

‘I have tested positive for coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self quarantine,’ is what he wrote in a tweet.

Mr Yediyurappa, 77, also requested all those who had come in contact with him to be wary of Covid symptoms and self-isolate.

Earlier in the day, union home minister Amit Shah had tested positive for the virus and got himself admitted to an hospital.
