COVID19: Teacher offers Quarantine hug to her students at her residence

An Indiana second grade teacher was missing her students and she came up with an idea to build a plastic barrier to offer hugs to her students.

With more than 12 reusable bags and with some creativity, Shelby Pavelka, wife of the teacher Kelsey Pavelka managed to create a perfect barrier.

They also had a sign about the quarantine hugs. Before the barrier, there is also a stool for the students and also different disinfectants which the kids are asked to use after the hugs.

She said that she got the idea from one of Tik Tok videos and thought that her students also needed hugs.

She added that she had a lot of visitors, one by one. She ended up squealing, talking to them and the usual jokes followed.

She said that the Parents thanked her for this as it was something their kids needed.

The dual language teacher said this moment of real life connection had a special impact on one of her students who had been depressed lately.
