Daniel Sams to replace Jason Roy for Delhi Capitals: Reports

According to the report in the ESPN Cricinfo, Delhi Capitals will be replacing Jason Roy with Daniel Sams. The latter has been ruled out of England’s limited-over series against Pakistan and Australia, is unlikely to feature in the IPL.

However, neither the team nor the player have confirmed the report.

Roy was bought by DC in the auction for INR 1.5 crore.

Sams, who got his first international call-up for the upcoming limited-overs series for Australia is the leading wickettaker in the 2019-2020 Big Bash League.

In 17 innings, he had 30 wickets with an economy of 7.83.

This will be DC’s second replacement after Anrich Nortje replaced Chris Woakes recently.

Daniel Sams will not take part in the training session which begins from August 29.
