Elon Musk’s tweet results in $14 billion loss in value for Tesla

Elon Musk’s rants on Twitter is well known and recently, his series of tweets didn’t go well with the investors.

“Tesla stock price too high, imo” Musk tweeted adding that he wanted to sell all his possessions including his house.

In other tweets, he said his girlfriend was mad at him, while another simply read: “Rage, rage against the dying of the light of consciousness.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that they asked Musk whether he was joking, he said no.

Shares of Tesla had risen about 85 per cent this year as of Thursday’s close as production has risen and analysts praised the company as well-positioned for an expected transition to electric cars.

But the share price sank 10.3 per cent Friday to close at $701.32 following the latest Twitter outburst.
