The Canadian Singer Grimes – real name Claire Boucher – and Elon Musk welcomed a baby boy yesterday, May 5, with the Tesla CEO confirming the news on social media, telling his followers ‘Mom and baby’ were doing well.
Later, in response to another Twitter question, he replied simply, “Boy.” When another user inquired about the baby’s name, Musk replied “X Æ A-12 Musk.”
After leaving everyone astonished, the singer finally revealed the meaning of the name. She wrote:
•X, the unknown variable
•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)
•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent

Later, Musk corrected him saying that it’s SR-71.
