Gujarat: Two doctors get back to work hours after mothers’ cremation

For these two doctors, duty before everything else is the motto.

DR Shilpa Patel, an associate professor with the anatomy department at SSG hospital was back to work just six hours after her mother’s death.

Kanta Ambalal Patel, 77, was passed in COVID ICU ward. Dr Patel along with her brother cremated their mother by following the COVID protocol and the doctor came back to work.

In yet another incident in Gujarat, Dr Rahul Parmar who as nodal officer for Covid management in a hospital, came back to work after his mother’s final ritual. His mother passed away due to age-related health issues.

Last year, Dr Parmar had to fight his personal battle as he was tested positive for COVID19.
