IND vs AUS, 2nd Test, Day 1: Bowlers put India on top

India had enjoyed a good outing on the first day of the Boxing Day Test match as they had managed to dismiss the hosts for just 195.

Australia batted first and went on to lose Burns for a duck to Bumrah. Wade was playing well until he had decided to take on Ashwin. The wicket-keeper failed to read Ashwin and got out for 30 while trying to score over the infield. Ashwin then removed Smith for a dot. Labuschagne and Head then began to construct the innings before Bumrah dismissed Head for 38.
Siraj soon got to his maiden Test wicket but dismissing Labuschagne. He also went on to dismiss Green for just 12.

Bumrah ripped off the tail-enders with help of other bowlers as India reduced Australia to 195.

Bumrah had 4 wickets, Ashwin had three while Siraj ended up with two.

In return, India once again had a poor start with Agarwal going for a duck. However, debutant Gill and Pujara made sure to get through the day as India ended the day with 36 for 1.
