Opting to bat first, Bangladesh batters failed against the Indian pacers, especially, Ishant Sharma who took five wickets after literally a decade.
In return, India managed to score 347, thanks to Kohli’s ton, Pujara’s, Rahane’s fifties.
Batting next, Bangladesh once again suffered in the hands of Indian pacers. Ishant once again showed some class, picked up four wickets whereas, Umesh Yadav grabbed a fifer in the second innings.
Rahim was the lone player who showed resistance as he went on to score yet another fifty. However, if not for the injury of Mahmudullah who had to retire, he certainly would have scored more.
