IPL, PBKS vs MI, Match 17- PBKS win by 9 Wickets

Chennai witnessed yet another low-scoring game on Friday as Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in the 19th over of the match.

Mumbai had lost Quinton de Kock early once again after being asked to bat first. Mumbai’s skipper Rohit Sharma began slowly while Ishan Kishan struggled completely and got out for 6 from 17. Suryakumar Yadav then came in, added an important partnership with the skipper. He got out for 33.

Punjab brought Ravi Bishnoi for M Ashwin and that was the only change for the day.

Rohit made 63 from 52 and got out when the team needed to accelerate. In the end, Pollard added 13 runs and took the team to 131.

Certainly a below par score but Mumbai Indians began well by bowling in the right areas but a few overs went for big scores and that changed the momentum of the game.

Mayank Agarwal made 25 before getting out to Chahar. In the end, Rahul and Gayle paced the innings right, took the match to the end and smashed a couple of deliveries to win by 9 wickets.

Mumbai stays at number four while Punjab have moved places to number five at the moment.
