Kaun Banega Crorepathi 11: Sudha Murthy of Infosys was the only female among 599 boys

Sudha Murthy is the chair person of Infosys Foundation. She will appear in KBC as a special appearance this Friday.

In this week’s snippet video which has become quite popular as she talked about her college days. She stated that she was the only female student among 599 boys.

In the promo, Amitabh Bachchan asks Sudha Murthy about her thought to study engineering.

“In 1968, she decided to go for engineering and her nani( grandmother) asked her not to pursue this as nobody will marry in her community. “There were 599 boys, I was the only girl,” she said and Big B was surprised.

The principal laid 3 conditions and they were, to wear only sarees, not to go to the canteen and not to talk to the boys in her college.

She agreed to the first condition. But her canteen food was so bad. About the third one, she said, I didn’t talk to the boys in the first year. But when they came to know that I got the first rank, all boys started talking to me.

She talked regarding how she helped the underprivileged and also about 16000 toilets she built through Infosys foundation and many other structures.
