Kusal Mendis arrested following fatal car crash

Sri Lankan cricketer Kusal Mendis was arrested by the Police after he ran over a 64-year-old man on a cycle. The man lost his life. The incident happened on Sunday in Horethuduwa, Panadura.

The cricketer currently is produced before the doctor for examination and will be provided before the court later in the day. SSP Jaliya Senaratne, the police spokesperson, confirmed the news of Mendis’ arrest.

With less number of coronavirus, Sri Lankan cricket board resumed the training for a few cricketers under protected conditions. Mendis was one of them.
