No Kohli but Dravid is the 1st Indian to score ton in pink ball!

Recently, the Indian captain Virat Kohli smashed a ton against Bangladesh and took team India to a great lead. While India is nearing a massive win in their first Pink Ball Test cricket, here is a small stat.

Virat Kohli is not the first Indian to make a ton in the pink ball cricket but Rahul Dravid is.

Yes, you read that right. It was in 2011 when Dravid represented MCC against Nottinghamshire, a match that was a curtain-raiser for the pink ball cricket in the English County Championship.

The match also featured known names like Nabi, Malan, Rogers and a few more cricketers.

After scoring a duck in the first innings, Dravid made 106 in the second innings, helping his team to win by a massive 174 runs.

Speaking about the pink ball, Dravid recently said, “It is a novelty that will attract people to the stadium and must be tried. But basic things like toilets, seating, car parking need to be looked into too.”

Also, at NCA, Dravid had a few words with the current players to tackle the pink ball.
