West Indies legend Chris Gayle took to social media to write that racism exist in cricket as well. This post comes in as a support to George Floyd who was killed by the police recently which began the protest all around the world now.
Asking to not take black people for fools, the 39-year-old said: “Black lives matter just like any other life. Black people matter, pk all racist people, stop taking black people for fools, even our own black people wise the pk up and stop bringing down your own!”

“I have travelled the globe and experience racial remarks towards me because I am black, believe me, the list goes on,” Gayle wrote in his Instagram story.
“Racism is not only in football, it’s in cricket too. Even within teams as a black man, I get the end of the stick. Black and powerful. Black and proud,” he added.
Apart from Gayle, a number of other sportspersons voiced against the issue of racism and acted in solidarity with the protests ensuing in the US.
