IPL 2020- Virat Kohli fined Rs 12 Lakhs for slow over rate

It was clearly not Virat Kohli’s day on Thursday as the Indian skipper not only lost the match against Kings XI Punjab, but also is fined Rs. 12 lakhs for maintaining slow over-rate against the King XI Punjab.

“As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh,” the IPL said in a release.

KL Rahul who smashed a brilliant ton had two lives, thanks to two drop catches by Kohli. The latter also had poor outing with the bat and the team went on to lose the match by a mammoth total.
