Ramesh Powar appointed as Indian women’s team head coach

Former Indian men’s team cricketer Ramesh Powar has been appointed as Women’s team coach once again.

Powar earlier coached the Indian women’s team in 2018. He took over from Tushar Arothe and was first appointed as the interim coach before taking over full time.

He coached the team until November 2018.

He replaces WV Raman as the coach.

It will be interesting to see how he goes here considering the controversy involving Mithali Raj during his time as a coach.
