Ravi Shastri gets first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Indian head coach Ravi Shastri got his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine recently. The former Indian cricketer took to social media to share the news.

“Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the amazing medical professionals & scientists for empowering India against the pandemic,” Shastri tweeted along with a photo of him getting the vaccination shot. “Extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by Kantaben & her team at Apollo, Ahmedabad in dealing with COVID-19 vaccination,” the former India all-rounder added.

Recently, the public rollout of the vaccine began with the Indian Prime Minister flagging off the event by getting one for himself at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Monday.

Meanwhile, India will be taking on England for the fourth and Final Test at Ahmedabad from 4th March. A win or draw will take India to the World Test Championship final while a win for England will allow Australia for the final.

New Zealand have already qualified and they will face either of the team at the Lord’s.
