In 2018, Director Venkat Prabhu announced the project ‘Maanadu’ with Simbu as the lead. For the movie, the actor was asked to hit the gym. While we did see a few pictures of Simbu working out, the movie did not take off. A few months later, we had producer Suresh Kamatchi announcing that the team has planned to go ahead with a new hero, blame Simbu’s non-cooperation.
The producers then met Simbu’s mother who assured that the actor would come to shoot regularly and would finish the script as planned.
Now, the sources close to the producer spoke to an online portal that a new agreement has been signed between the teams and the shoot will start from January 20th and will go till April 10th.
In the interim, Simbu will visit Sabarimala as planned and will hit the gym to get fit once again.
