Sri Lanka awards central contract, Atapattu tops list

Sri Lanka’s most prolific player Chamari Atapattu is the lone player in the category A as Sri Lankan cricket board announced central contract for women cricketers.

Accordingly Category A has a salary cap of Rs. 60,000 a month, followed by Rs. 50,000 for category B, Rs. 40,000 for category C, and Rs. 30,000 for category D. However given her exceptional performance, Atapattu has been placed on a six-figure salary cap.

Moreover, SLC made an additional payment of up to Rs. 15,000/- a month for the women’s national team for purchase of supplements (on reimbursement basis) and an attendance allowance of up to Rs. 10,000/- per month for all cricketers including 15 Emerging Squad members based on their attendance for the duration of the contract.
