It is definitely a tournament to forget for Chennai Super Kings as they went down once again to move to the bottom of the table, something nobody would’ve thought.
CSK opted to bat first and the team once again backed the players who are yet to find their rhythm instead of giving opportunities to the players who are still warming the bench.
Batting first, Chennai couldn’t convert their dots and had 50 of them. The Rajasthan bowlers did well to keep things tight and Chennai managed only 125 in their 20 overs.
In return, Chahar and Hazlewood removed the top-order of Rajasthan but the target was just too low to put the pressure on the team.
Buttler found his touch at the right time to score an unbeaten 70 and all Smith had to do was to give the strike back to Buttler. In the end, Rajasthan pulled off the win to push Chennai to the bottom of the table.
