The statue of unity was recently inaugurated in Gujarat to dedicate to the freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhai Patel. It has been stated that it is the tallest statue in India.
However, there kept a signboard which informs that it is “The statue of liberty” in different languages and the blunder happened is the Tamil translation of the name which clearly underlines the knowledge we have in languages.
And this highlights the importance of foreign languages in our country and regional languages are not even considered to be perfect!
