Three women’s cricketers from South Africa test positive for COVID-19 ahead of training camp

In an unprecedented scenario, three women’s cricketers who were supposed to be the part of the training camp which is scheduled to begin next week.

Ahead of the training camp, all members including the players and support staff were tested for COVID-19. Out of the 34 members, three players have tested positive.

According to the NEWS18 report, their names were kept anonymous and they were excluded from the squad that was selected for the camp.

The players would have to spend the next ten days in isolation and subjected to test again before coming back into the training camp.

South Africa is touring England in September and Cricket South Africa had arranged this training camp for them in Pretoria.
