Karthi made his debut in Tamil cinema as an actor through Paruthiveeran. The film which also starred Priyamani went on to become a blockbuster. The songs of the film were hit as well. Lakshmi Ammal sang two of the songs in the film including ‘Oororam Puliyamaram.’
Lakshmi Ammal who is a folk singer is currently struggling to meet ends, blame lockdown too. Karthi came to know about her situation and was shocked to hear the same.
The actor immediately helped her with Rs 10,000 through his fan club. He also promised to take care of monthly financial expenses of the singer. Lakshmi Ammal is all praise for Karthi in her latest interview.
