Surjith, 2YO who fell was trapped in borewell, died

Surjith, who was trapped in the abandoned borewell near Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu since Friday, is dead, an official said on Tuesday. The officials said that the body of the kid was in a highly decomposed state.

The efforts to save the kid was going on full-fledged for more than three days. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be saved despite the efforts.

If only we had better ways and instruments to save him…

It is disheartening to even think about how hard it would have been for the kid. We wish that things change from now on. May be, Surjith was the hero who actually opened the eyes of the Government and has saved a lot of people from getting trapped in the borewell.

Sorry Surjith, we couldn’t save you.
