Australian cricketer Aaron Summers charged with child sexual offense

Australian cricketer Aaron Summers has been charged with child sexual offences. He was arrested Friday afternoon.

After conducting a search, the police had seized a mobile phone which reportedly had “a number of videos containing child abuse material” and evidence of contact with up to ten children in an “attempt to procure further illicit photographs”.

He was immediately charged for possessing child abuse material and for grooming a child.

Summers has represented Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League, Tasmania in the One-day cup, Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 league and was the first Australian cricketer to play in Pakistan domestic competition. He had represented Southern Punjab.
