Indian star wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Sangita Phogat recently tied the knot. According to the reports on tbe Navbharat Times, their wedding took place in Balali, Haryana, on November 25.
Announcing their winter wedding earlier in August, Sangeeta had said that they wanted to get married before moving their focus on Tokyo Olympics, rescheduled to July 2021.
The youngest of the Phogat sisters revealed earlier that she met Punia at SAI center. While her sisters knew Punia before, she got introduced only during the training. She added that they spoke and realized that they liked each other. Then the elders met and confirmed the wedding.
Only close friends and family attended the wedding due to coronavirus pandemic.
