Pele, One of the greatest football player of all time, has passed away at the age of 82.
“Everything we are is thanks to you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace,” daughter Kely Nascimento wrote on Instagram.
Pele’s official handles also shared the heartbreaking news.
“Inspiration and love marked the journey of King Pelé, who peacefully passed away today.
Love, love and love, forever.”, his official handle wrote.
The legendary footballer had been battling colon cancer and was admitted in a hospital for a respiratory problem on November 29.
Pele had a tumour removed from his colon in 2021 and was taking chemotherapy ever since.
