We all know pancakes are more than staple recipe in West and they mostly include in their diet everyday as it is very easy to make and its more like a fast food.
Moong dal pancakes are more like our South Indian adai but the ingredients and preparation time are quite less. This is a quick and a tasty version for breakfast and dinner.

Ingredients
Moong dal – 1 cup
Asafoetida or Hing – 1 tsp
Salt – According to taste
Green chillies – 4
Onion- 1 medium size
Coriander leaves – A handful.
Instructions
- Soak Moong dal for 2 hours and drain all the water.
- Grind it into a coarse paste along with hing and salt.
- Add chopped onions , coriander and chillies to the batter and mix well
- Pour a ladle full of batter on a tawa or pan and add generous amount of oil.
- Close the pan and simmer the stove.
- Open after 2 minutes and flip it over.
- Serve it with tomato or peanut chutney.
Notes.
- This recipe doesnt require any resting time.
- When you are about to make the pancakes, you can add the onions and green chillies.
- You can make the batter thin and have it as a dosa. But this tastes better
