Mumbai Indians batted first in the Sharjah on Sunday. The team lost Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav early but Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock added a good partnership and then Pollard-Pandya brothers dragged the team to a total over 200.
Apart from Rashid Khan and Natarajan, everyone went for plenty, especially, Kaul who replaced injured Kumar.
In return, the team began well with Bairstow and Warner taking on the bowlers. Bairstow then fell for 25. Pandey took over from thereon, scoring 35. After his wicket, what followed was a disaster. Mumbai Indians continued to add pressure on the team and in the end, Warner played into MI’s plan and fell for 60. MI then went on to win the match by 34 runs.
