Kids recovered under Operation Smile witness India Test in Chepauk

Operation Smile has been one of the initiatives taken by the Government in recent times. The Chennai’s Operation began during February 1st and went on until February 15th.

The Operation is about rescuing kids who are in need of care and attention. The kids might be involved in child labour, might be on roads, beggars and other activities which they shouldn’t be doing.

The Police were alloted to rescue these kids and they were immediately taken to different care units to provide them a new life.

In Chennai’s drive, more than 400 kids were rescued during the operation and a total of 338 kids witnessed the 2nd Test between India and England from the stadium.  

Meanwhile, India had won the second Test to level the series and after a short break, the teams once again will lock horns for the 3rd Test.
