Australia who defeated New Zealand to qualify for the semifinals have so much to worry in upcoming days.
They will miss the star all rounder Perry who has sustained hamstring injury that will keep her away from the World Cup and Australia’s tour to South Africa.
Perry suffered the injury while fielding against New Zealand on Monday.
Well, Australia will be worrying about the rain as well. The forecast for the upcoming week isn’t great and if the rain washes away the game and with no reserve day in play, Australia will be knocked out of the tournament as they finished as the runner up of the Group A behind India.
“The cricket and the weather are things we can’t control,” World Cup CEO Nick Hockley told SEN. “We’ve just got our fingers crossed we can get a full game away. It’s why finishing positions in the pool can be important. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come down to that.”
