STR predicted ‘baby memes’: Gautham Menon

Filmmaker Gautham Menon recently was a guest in the webinar titled ‘Filmmaking in the Time of Lockdown’, which is part of the series Indulge Time Pass organised by The New Indian Express group. The filmmaker spoke about different things beginning from his experience shooting Karthik Dial Seitha Yenn to his new script.

Talking about Karthik Dial Seitha Yenn, he said that he loved the experience of shooting during the lockdown and probably would love to shoot something again.

He added that he wrote a series of conversations between his lead characters and doubted whether people would be ready. When he asked Trisha and STR, they loved it, he said.

The short film had a mixed response and acknowledging the same, he said that it is good because people are talking about the film. He also added that STR predicted that there would be memes of him as a baby even before the shoot, however, Gautham Menon wanted to go ahead and shoot it.

He also added that he currently has written a script and would pitch it up to actor Ajith soon. He revealed that after lockdown, Vikram would begin his dubbing for Dhruva Natchathiram and is hoping for a theatrical release.
