T20 WC, 13th match, NZ v BAN: New Zealand defends 91

More than high scoring matches, the tension the low scoring matches gives you is huge but is also entertaining. New Zealand took on Bangladesh on Saturday and they had their wake up call.

The trio Ritu Moni, Salma Katun and Rumana Ahmed destroyed the New Zealand batters and the team’s failure in picking up the spinners is killing them and they got out for just 91.

However, New Zealand needed top performance from their fielders and bowlers. The team got exactly the same as except for Nigar Sultana, nobody found it comfortable to bat.

For New Zealand, Kasperek and Jensen turned the game around and the other bowlers kept it tight to keep the pressure mounting. In the end, it was a great escape for the New Zealand team who will now take on Australia in literally the match that would decide the other semifinalist.
