In an exciting final, Super Gillies held their nerves to bounce back and had lifted the trophy once again.
Batting first, skipper Gandhi and Jagadeesan gave the team a brisk start. Gandhi was the first wicket to go but he had already done the damage. The 58-run partnership provided the cushion for what had followed.
Jagadeesan took over from there and even though he kept losing partners, he made sure to keep the scoreboard ticking. He had 90 from 58 deliveries.
The team made 183 while Rahil Shah and Poiyamozhi picking a couple of wickets each.
In return, Amith Sathvik smashed 36 from 16 but none of the top order could convert their starts to the big score. While Super Gillies were cruising, Saravana Kumar took on bowlers for fun. He smashed three sixes and as many fours to take the game down to the wire.
The team needed 13 runs from the last over and thankfully for Super Gillies, Sai Kishore held his nerves to take the team home.
