Vinesh Phogat tested positive for COVID19

Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has tested positive for coronavirus.

Phogat is one of the five stars who were awarded Khel Ratna award this year.

“Yes, I have tested positive for COVID-19 when my sample was taken in Sonepat before the dress rehearsal for the awards ceremony,” Vinesh told PTI.

“I will recover soon, God willing. I am in isolation at home,” she added.

The 26 years old wrestler will be skipping the virtual ceremony which will happen on August 29.
